Sentyabrev Nikolai Ivanovich

 

Sentyabrev Nikolai Ivanovich was born in 1909 in Ivanovo-Voznesensk.

When he was a player played for Dynamo (Ivanovo), and was among the 33 best players of the country. In 1956 he was awarded the title of Master of Sports of USSR. Later, after a three-month courses of trainers in Frunze, was the head coach of Dynamo (Ivanovo), where he worked until 1952.

In 1952 he graduated from high school iof football coaches at Moscow Institute of Physical Culture.

In the period from 1952 to 1954 he worked as a head coach in a team from Kovrov, and from 1954 to 1959 - senior coach of Krasnoe Znamya (Ivanovo).

From 1959 to 1971, Nikolai Ivanovich headed Kazan Rubin. This period is known in the history of the club as "Age of Sentyabrev”. During his employment the club came in a leading position in Russian football. In 1965, Rubin won the silver medal of championship of Russia among the teams of masters class "B" and won a ticket to Class "A" (similar to the current first league). In 1970 Rubin took 8-th place in the first group of Class "A", which is the best achievement of the club during its participation in national championships of USSR.

During his time at the club Sentyabrev prepared well-known players, such as: Nikolay Markov, Anatoly Fomin, Victor Surkov, Ilyas Galimov, Nicholai Osyanin, Victor Kolotov, Vyacheslav Bulavin.

For his great contribution to the development of football and the successful performance of Rubin Sentyabrev got the title Honored coach of Russia.

Nikolai Ivanovich made a great contribution to the development of youth football in Kazan. He loved young players, and, being retired, conducted big methodical work on the coaching staff.
