Victor Kolotov down in history of "Rubin", becoming the only player of the club, who played for the National team of USSR.

On October 28, 1970 Kolotov, the leader of "Rubin" at that time, played his first match for the national team. Here's how described this no ordinary event (in the national team players from first league!)  one of the classics of Russian football journalism Lev Filatov: "Autumn evening in 1970 was held in the Luzhniki Stadium friendly match Soviet Union - Yugoslavia, unremarkable. We won 4:0, calmly, without difficulty. And only one name has attracted the attention: Kolotov. "Who is he? Where from?” It turned out  from Kazan Rubin, the club from first division. This case is rare in itself, and there was an unknown guy who scored a goal. And his name appears on the scoreboard, willy-nilly had to remember. As you can see the coach Valentin Nikolayev was satisfied, and in the next match in Cyprus, once again played halfback from Kazan”.

We should add that against Cyprus, in a European Championship qualifying match, Victor again scored a goal. Two matches and two goals this is the contribution of the player from "Rubin" Kolotov in the overall balance of the National USSR team meetings. Further his football exploits Honored Master of Sports Viktor Kolotov committed already as a player and captain of Dynamo Kyiv.

Died January 3, 2000 in Kiev.
